sway, forceful, evasive, assimilate

sway: (전후좌우로 천천히) 흔들리다[흔들다]

(마음을) 흔들다[동요시키다]

  • 1. VERB When people or things sway, they lean or swing slowly from one side to the other.
  • 2. VERB If you are swayed by someone or something, you are influenced by them.
  • 3. PHRASE If someone or something holds sway, they have great power or influence over a particularplace or activity.
  • 4. PHRASE If you are under the sway of someone or something, they have great influence over you.

forceful: 단호한 (=assertive)

articulate: (사람이) (생각느낌을) 잘[분명히] 표현하는

 

By asking everyone the same set of questions, you can identify prevalent and divergent views and thus avoid being swayed by the first or most forceful or articulate person you talk to.

 

evasive: 얼버무리는 (=cagey)

cagey: (무엇에 대해) 말을 안 하는, 비밀스러운 (=evasive, secretive)

tangent: (대화 주제가) 옆길로 새다

assimilate: 1. Verb  (아이디어나 정보를) 완전히 이해하다[소화하다]
2. Verb  (국가·사회의 일원으로) 동화되다[동화시키다]
3. Verb  (사상 등을) 흡수하다
